Clear cycles, appointment deadlines and progress tracking.
Verifiable competence records prepared for oversight and inspection.
Two obligations · one competence system
CoB establishes product-category competence. CPD keeps knowledge current through an annual cycle. RCC helps you plan, track and evidence both.
Build the foundational product knowledge the role requires.
General, foundational knowledge of financial-product classes and subclasses, including insurance, investments and pension-fund benefits.
Keep competence current and your annual evidence complete.
The annual CPD cycle runs from 1 June to 31 May of the following year.
Required hours may be calculated proportionately for the remaining portion of the cycle when a person enters the cycle mid-year.
The CPD start point depends on the representative’s competence status and date of first appointment. We map the applicable date before hours are planned.
Strong records make competence visible and defensible.
A practical operating rhythm for ongoing compliance.
Review CPD plans and confirm that each affected person is enrolled with an appropriate provider.
Review progress logs across KIs and representatives before shortfalls become last-minute findings.
Collect and verify certificates, update the competence register and confirm total hours.
Report completion, exceptions and remedial actions through the FSP’s compliance reporting cycle.
